In short

Vaxel collects nothing. There is no account and no analytics. Your rules, your links and your settings stay on your Mac.

What stays on your Mac

  • Your rules, in one rules.json file.
  • How many links each rule took, so the Rules page can show it.
  • Your settings.
  • Vaxel’s own log, which keeps each link’s host rather than the full link.

When Vaxel goes online

Only to update itself. A minute after it starts, then once a day while Update automatically is on, Vaxel asks releases.vaxel.tolo.app whether there is a newer version, and downloads it if there is. The request carries no cookies and nothing about you or your links.

You can turn Update automatically off in Settings → General → Updates.

Diagnostic reports

A report is made only when you ask for one, and you choose what goes in. It reaches us only if you send it: Email to Support opens a Mail message that goes when you press Send. We use a report only to help with your question, and you can ask us to delete it.
